Hot Rod Baits can provide you or your family members a day on the water, or ice that they will not soon forget. You pick weather to fish for bass or panfish out of a fully equipped 18-foot Ranger bass boat. You will be using the best rods and reels from Quantum on every cast. When ice fishing for panfish we will be using the best in electronics; Vexilar. Guided trips are located in Central Iowa and on rivers located in Northeast Iowa; including Lake Delhi, Pool 9, and Pool 10 of Mississippi River.
We specialize in taking the young, old, experienced, or first-time anglers out on the water to enjoy a day of catching fish and learning about the sport of fishing.

All trips are based on two clients per outing. We may be able to accommodate more upon request. |
What I provide: Boat, all bait, rods, reels, tackle, safety gear, and water. On full day trips we will also provide lunch.
What you should provide: raingear, drinks or snacks not listed above, fishing license, hat, sunglasses and anything else to brave the sunshine or weather elements.
Boat Trips: we can focus on bluegills/crappies or bass on 4-hour trips and one or both types of fish on a full day outing. (your choice)
Ice Fishing Trips: we will focus on bluegills or crappies (your choice)
All trips must be paid in full for 7 days in advance. Trips may be canceled the day of appointment by Hot Rod Baits due to bad/unsafe weather. All cancellations by clients will result in the loss of $50 on your pre-payment. Email me for more information and availability. EMAIL

Your trip on the ice will be with all the modern comforts: the largest 3-man shack on the market, Polaris Snowmobile, Eskimo Auger, Dave Genz Signature Rods/Reels, and VEXILAR electronics. All this equipment plus up-to date, on ice reports will bring you a great day on the ice.
